Franklin  Engine 3 served the City of San Jose from Station # 3 located near Reed and First Street. During the Great Quake of 1906, Franklin Fire Station #3 collapsed on the engine.  The engine was dug out by the firemen and then fought fires throughout San Jose for more than two straight days.
